Project Manager – Arts Camps

Job summary

Under the supervision of senior management, the project manager coordinates and supervises all activities related to the planning, organisation and implementation of arts camps offered during the summer of 2026.

She liaises between the artists/facilitators, partners, families and the internal team to ensure a safe, creative and well-structured experience.

Key responsibilities

Planning and coordination

  • Implementation and management of the complete programming of arts camps (content, schedules, logistical requirements).
  • If necessary, participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of artists/facilitators and support staff.
  • Plan the material, technical and space requirements for each activity.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets and guidelines

Operational management

  • Coordinate the daily running of the camps during the summer.
  • Supervise the entertainment team and provide ongoing support.
  • Manage enrolments, communications with parents and administrative follow-up.
  • Implement and enforce safety and incident management protocols.

Communication and relations

  • Ensure professional and friendly contact with families, participants and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with community and artistic partners.
  • Prepare informational documents, forms, and public communications related to the camps.

Evaluation and continuous improvement

  • Evaluate the running of the camps, gather feedback from families and staff.
  • Produce a final report including recommendations, statistics, and areas for improvement for future editions.

Required skills

  • Excellent organisational, project management and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
  • Administrative rigour and proficiency in digital tools.
  • Asset: knowledge of cultural mediation, arts education or facilitation.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary qualification (management, arts, education, intervention or related field).
  • Experience in project management, facilitation or coordination of youth activities.
  • Increased availability during the summer period.
  • Criminal record check (working with young people).
  • Bilingualism (French & English)
  • Be able to travel independently (driving licence)

Working conditions

  • Full-time seasonal position from 11 May to 28 August 2026, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
  • From 29 August to 11 October, position with self-employed status from Friday to Sunday (24 hours/week)
  • Salary: $26/hour
  • In-person work at the Sutton School of Art
