About Iona Fournier-Tombs (host)
Iona Fournier-Tombs is a visual artist whose career has taken her to the four corners of the globe, guided by a quest for learning and encounters. She finally chose to settle in the Eastern Townships, where she discovered a veritable treasure trove: a community of committed creators who are passionate about their work and uphold values of mutual aid and cooperation.
Portrait Vivant is a radio programme that paints a moving picture of the artistic community at the Sutton School of Art. Through 24 one-hour episodes, produced in collaboration with CIDI 99.1 FM and funded by the Community Radio Fund of Canada, this series invites listeners to meet the artists, young creators and works that shape this essential institution in the cultural landscape of the Estrie region.
