It strives to create coherent, aesthetically pleasing and safe environments that showcase the works and enhance the public&#8217;s experience.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job description<\/h4>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Design and creation<\/h5>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Designing scenography tailored to exhibitions, cultural events and special projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop visual concepts consistent with the artistic vision, theme, and educational or cultural objectives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce sketches, plans, models or renderings (digital or manual)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propose creative solutions that take into account space, budget and time constraints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Implementation and installation<\/h5>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plan and coordinate the installation of exhibitions and scenographic displays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise or participate in the assembly and dismantling of stage elements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with artists, curators, technicians, and the internal team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensuring the stability, safety and sustainability of facilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Equipment and logistics management<\/h5>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the necessary materials, furniture, lighting and accessories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage the inventory of stage equipment and recommend purchases as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to allocated budgets and timelines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the maintenance, storage and reuse of stage props.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Collaboration and coordination<\/h5>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work closely with management, the programming team and artists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in project planning and follow-up meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adapt the scenographic proposals based on the feedback received.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Standards and accessibility<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Integrate the principles of safety, universal accessibility and public circulation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with applicable standards (health and safety, fire, accessibility)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting environmentally responsible practices in the choice of materials and methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desired profile<\/h3>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skills and qualities<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Initiative and resourcefulness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong aesthetic sense<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enjoys working in a team and with and for children + ability and willingness to work alone (on Saturdays)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skills: Photography, set design, writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Required experience (with portfolio)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommendations required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independent for transport (driving licence and car) + living in the area (otherwise possibility of accommodation on site at weekends)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective stress management in event management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interpersonal skills + Experience with the public<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Significant experience in organising events and exhibitions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in team supervision or coordination (a significant advantage).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mandatory criminal record check.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Available on weekends from 31 August to 11 October 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Working conditions<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full-time seasonal employee from 11 May to 28 August (subsidised)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>31 August to 11 October &#8211; Contractual &#8211; Self-employed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salary: $25\/hour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On-site work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Applications to <a href=\"mailto:rh@ecoleartsutton.ca\">rh@ecoleartsutton.ca<\/a><\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p> <strong><em>About the Sutton School of Art and the surrounding area: <\/em><\/strong><br\/> Located in the heart of the Eastern Townships, the Sutton School of Art is a centre dedicated to artistic creation and intergenerational sharing.
